It's worth being precise here, since "translate a PDF" can sound like it means something it doesn't.
- What you get: The translated text of your document in plain text form, readable and copyable from the result.

关于隐私的说明
The PDF itself is opened and its text is extracted in your browser. That extracted text is then sent to PDFly's server, which forwards it to our AI provider for translation. The original PDF file is not uploaded. If a document contains information you'd rather not have leave your device at all, that's worth knowing going in.
This extracted-text-only approach is more limited than uploading the whole file, but it's still not fully local processing — the text does leave your device to generate the translation. If you need something that never leaves your device at all, use PDFly's non-AI tools instead.

The translation quality is generally strong for common languages, but it's not perfect, especially for technical or highly specialized content. For critical documents, consider a human review. Accuracy is generally higher for common languages and lower for less common ones.

Only if it has selectable text. This tool doesn't include OCR itself — for an image-only scan, run OCR PDF first, then use the extracted text.
